I don't see anywhere in your post where there is a complete commitment. I must admit that this life comes with a lot of surprises. There is a lot about Mormonism I am still struggling to understand, but I am reading faith-based memoirs and studying up on Mormonism as well as other religions but the relevance here is on Mormonism. If you are very much willing to accept and understand all of these, whether you are a Mormon or not, you can expect that it is fun to date a Mormon girl. Mormonism isn't a free ticket to heaven. Nobody has prepared her for one, definitely haven't prepared her for a healthy physical relationship. Be open and talk about your ideals. I completely agree with you. My husband is a surgical oncologist. I don't really care if she's religious or not, unless she brings it up all the time or tries to convert me. We have 5 kids and my eldest wants to become a doctor. As far as as race and the priesthood, Mormons still believe the priesthood ban was divinely inspired. I believe in temple marriage, and in the importance of those covenants.
